Marineros (#4) were upset in La Romana by seventh ranked Caneros 90-86 . Caneros looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Eusebio Suero fired 23 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Greek point guard Rafail Lanaras (196-2001) chipped in 7 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists. Four Caneros players scored in double figures. Nigerian-American power forward Emmanuel Omogbo (203-1995, college: Colorado St.) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and swingman Luis Feliz (190-2002) added 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Caneros (2-4) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Titanes. Marineros lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Heroes.
